International DIPLOMA in MONTESSORI Pedagogy (Early Childhood Teaching Course)
Entry Requirements
Applicants must have studied to GCSE/GCE "O" Level or above, have good written and spoken English and be aged 17 years or over. All candidates are assessed for entry on individual merit.
One academic year (two semesters): 36 weeks of lecture (216 hours) plus home study
Practical experience as an option to upgrade to International Diploma: 420 hours
Course Assessment
Stage II Certificate: Montessori Theory & Methodology
In the Early Childhood Course, Stages I and II are studied for concurrently. The Stage II certificate is awarded to students who have successfully completed their course and passed the written and practical examinations, for which a separate examination fee is payable.
International Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy
This internationally recognised diploma is a suitable qualification for a Montessori class teacher and is awarded to students with the Stage II Certificate plus 420 hours of teaching practice. A separate additional fee is payable for teaching practice.
